Over the last two years Westway Trust has worked with local creative employers and Creative and Cultural Skills (CCS) to create 17 new apprenticeships and internships. These have enabled the young people involved to gain qualifications and skills and access jobs within the creative industries. 

Age UK Kensington & Chelsea is proud to continue working in partnership with Westway Trust to provide high quality, entry level employment opportunities for local young people. Through the Creative Futures programme we are looking for an Activities & Events Intern to spend 6 months with us making a real difference to the lives of older people.

Please note: Due to funding requirements, applicants must:
- Be aged between 17 and 24 years old
- Live, work or study (with a registered provider of further or higher education) in Kensington & Chelsea, Hammersmith & Fulham or Brent

Purpose of the job: To support the Activities & Events Coordinator with providing a wide range of outreach services and creative opportunities to older people in Kensington & Chelsea.

Hours: 28 hours per week, including some evening and weekend work

Salary: £7,426 for 6 months (£10.20 per hour)

Closing date: Wednesday 28th February, midday. We expecting to hold interviews on Monday 5th March.
