At Age UK Lambeth we understand the challenges faced as we get older. We are here to help. MYhome service provides practical help to enable people to feel comfortable, safe and secure at home for a competitive price.
We also provide a short term respite/ sitting service for carers. We offer the carer quality time outside of their caring role to have space for themselves with peace of mind. MYhome from Age UK Lambeth is a flexible and trusted service which can provide as much or as little help as needed. Our home helpers are fully trained, supervised and police (DBS) checked.
• We're working with a range of trusted charity partners to deliver high quality services across the borough.
• We charge an hourly rate to cover the cost of providing a flexible and trustworthy service.
• As a charity, we make no profit. Neither do our care providers, the payments go to paying the staff and keeping services running.
• The services we offer vary depending on where you live in the borough and each service has different eligibility criteria.
As well as the practical help and support received, we can connect people to other services provided by Age UK Lambeth including:
• Face to face and telephone befriending
• Support for health conditions
• Social events around Lambeth with MYsocial.
• Handyperson service, to help with odd jobs around the home.

Most people with a life-limiting illness want to stay living in their own homes and their community palliative care services are here to help you do that. Their staff work alongside GPs and district nurses offering symptom control advice and helping patients and families to adjust to their situation. Their services are aimed at supporting you and your close friends and family throughout your illness with whatever is important to you. Once you have been referred, one of their nurses will see you to assess your needs. If you are not able to manage the journey to our Sydenham or Orpington sites, your nurse will see you at home. You will be assigned a clinical nurse specialist who will work closely with your GP and coordinate the different services involved in your care.
We understand the importance of home. There is no better place and so we are committed to providing an exceptional standard of care to ensure we can keep you where you want to be, safely and happily, surrounded by the things that are important to you, for as long as you want. We are committed to enabling you to remain in control of your life and supporting you in maintaining your chosen lifestyle. We understand and respect that every person is unique with their own preferences and desires. Your life, your way…
