Hours of Work:      18-20 hrs per week over four days Monday-Friday

Age UK Lancashire develops and delivers services for older people across Lancashire, Southport and Blackpool.  We offer person-centred, quality-assured Information, Advice and Signposting amongst a variety of other services to support older people to remain independent.

We are seeking an organised, customer-focussed individual to join the team and be responsible for first contact with our customers via our flagship 0300 telephone service, based in our offices in Lancaster. Timely Information, Advice and access to services when needed is essential for older people to retain their independence in later life.

You will be responsible for responding to enquiries via our 0300 number, email and website. The successful applicant must have experience of a customer service environment alongside a person-centred approach. You will have the ability to navigate to relevant services both within Age UK Lancashire and across the Community. Ideally you will have knowledge of the needs that face older people and their families and have a friendly and approachable manner.

DBS: This post is eligible for a basic DBS check and all the associated costs will be met by the employee. The cost for the DBS check is £18 plus an additional administration charge and Vat of £6.35 totalling £24.35. This amount will be deducted from an employees first salary with Age UK Lancashire.
