Salary:  Scale 3 pt14  £15883 FTE 

Hours of Work:  Working 21hrs over 3 days

Age UK Lancashire develops and delivers services for older people across Lancashire, Southport and Blackpool.

We offer person-centred, quality-assured Information, Advice and Signposting amongst a variety of other services to support older people to remain independent and we are looking for an experienced adviser to join our team. Timely Information, Advice and access to services when needed is essential for older people to retain their independence in later life.

We are seeking an innovative, solution-focussed candidate to be based at one of our regional offices working in the community within a passionate Information & Advice team. 

Responsible for recruiting and supporting a team of volunteers to extend the reach of the service.The successful applicant must have working knowledge of direct advice provision and welfare benefits assessments, a person-centred needs-led approach to service delivery and the ability to offer a non-judgemental approach to informing appropriate support measures to ensure we offer an over-arching holisitc service to older people.

This is a hugely rewarding role for the right person and you would be joining the organisation at an exciting time whilst we are investing in our Wellbeing service to extend our reach across the county supporting more older people to improve their overall independence and wellbeing.

DBS:  This post is eligible for an enhanced DBS check and all the associated costs will be met by the employee. The cost for a DBS check is £40 plus an additional admin charge of £5.50 totaling £45.50. This amount will be deducted from an employee’s first salary with Age UK Lancashire.

The nature of the post will require travel across the area.  A full driving licence, appropriate insurance cover and use of a car are essential.
