Incorporating "Aged Veterans - Sharing Stories, Sharing Lives" Project

Active Service in later life.

  • Are you ex-forces, or did you do National Service?
  • Were you born before 1950?
  • Do you live in Leeds?
If the answer to all of the above is 'yes' then we can help you or your partner/carer for up to 12 weeks by providing focused support for your health and social care needs.

What we offer

We can provide one to one support to help you with any of the following:

  • Housing
  • Managing finances- claiming benefits, sorting bills.
  • Making new friends
  • Healthy living
  • Confidence building

What will happen

A member of our friendly team will arrange to visit you in your home, spend some time with you. Then, we'll work together to create a plan of action that suits you and will help you take positive steps in areas of life you'd like to improve.

Aged Veterans - Sharing Stories, Sharing Lives Project

We run reminiscence sessions in sheltered housing and care homes as well as intergenerational work in schools. Veterans visit and tell stories of war time with the aid of a DVD.
