Café Assistant                                  

Age UK Leeds provides a range of services and products in the community, which have been specifically developed to meet the needs of older people. We are now looking for a Café Assistant. 

£7.50 per hour Flexible Hours

Please note we only accept applicants over the age of 18.

As a Café Assistant you will be responsible for food preparation and delivery throughout the day, this will include making hot beverages, breakfasts and lunches, as well as cleaning and waiting on tables. 

The successful candidate will have the ability to assist customers in a prompt and friendly manner.

Experience of food preparation in a busy catering environment is essential for this post.  Experience of customer service and food hygiene training would be a distinct advantage.

The role is based at The Arch Café, Bradbury Building, Leeds LS2 8JA

Supporting Wellbeing Coordinator

Age UK Leeds provides a range of services and products in the community, which have been specifically developed to meet the needs of older people. We are now looking for a Supporting Wellbeing Coordinator.

Salary £20,661         37 Hours per week

As a Wellbeing Coordinator  you will be responsible for;

  • Supporting individuals to build independence & resilience enabling self – management of their health & wellbeing.
  • The creation of support plans tailored to individual need.
  • Building trusting relationships quickly whilst motivating individuals to make sustained changes, working sensitively & overcoming barriers to access.

Aged Veterans Support Worker

Salary £20,661 (pro rata): 18 Hours per week

Age UK Leeds provides a range of services and products in the community, which have been specifically developed to meet the needs of older people. We are now looking for an Aged Veterans Support Worker with our “Aged Veterans sharing stories, sharing lives project”.

As an Aged Veterans Support Worker you will be responsible for;

  • Engaging with older veterans , particularly those living in care homes & sheltered housing accommodation
  • Developing links with care providers , local community groups and schools
  • Working in partnership with these links to develop projects of interest & benefit to all e.g. reminiscence sessions, visiting schools for intergenerational activities linked to the school curriculum.
  • Expanding & developing existing partnerships with other organisations supporting veterans in Leeds

Help at Home Business Development Officer

Salary: SO1: £25,951: 30 - 37 hours (hours are negotiable)

Do you have experience of setting up and / or managing Help at Home / domiciliary services?

We are looking for an enthusiastic Business Development officer to help us test the assumptions in our business case and launch our new Help at Home Service.

Age UK Leeds is planning to launch a new Help at Home service to undertake household and other supportive tasks for older people to assist them to remain independent and live in their own homes.

The service will be paid for by clients and will operate as a social enterprise. The commercial viability of the service is a priority, both in providing a sustainable service to clients but also in helping to secure a sustainable income for the future of Age UK Leeds.
