Clarence House is a substantial property located within Leicester City Centre, not far from the clock tower and Haymarket shopping centre.
Built in the late 1800s, Clarence House has been known as Wyggeston's Girls School, The City of Leicester Boys School and Charles Keene College Annex.
Age Concern (now Age UK Leicester Shire & Rutland) moved in as tenant's in 1982 before buying the property from Leicestershire County Council in 2008. The building contains many fine period features, including beamed ceilings, stained glass windows and original fireplaces; it's a listed building of special historic and architectural interest. It was renamed Clarence House in honour of Queen Elizabeth the Queen mother when Age Concern developed it as a resource centre for older people.
Rooms at Clarence House are available for hire on flexible basis for organisations or companies who require a relaxed, high quality setting in which to conduct their business.
