Rutland Dementia Support Service

Our Dementia Support service is Rutland offers support for those living with Dementia and their Carers and actively promotes the wellbeing of those living with dementia through:

 

  • 6 week intensive support to identify needs and agree outcomes, provide information about services and how to access them and signpost to sources of on-going support based upon the needs and preferences of the person with dementia and their carer.
  • Act as a single point of contact for people with dementia, their carers and professionals
  • Peer Support Group & Activity Group for people with Dementia: provides access to advice, and support about living well with dementia and opportunities to share experiences through peer support. The group meets on the 4th Wednesday of each month at the Rutland Community Hub, Lands’ End Way, Oakham. LE15 6RB. 10.30am to 12.00noon.
  • Memory Café: provides a social group for people with dementia and their carers and the opportunity to meet other people in a similar situation, have a drink and get advice, information and support. The group meets on the first Monday of each month at St. John & St. Anne’s Community Room, St. John & St Anne’s, off Westgate, Oakham. LE15 6AZ, 10.00am to 11.30am.
