Age UK Lewisham and Southwark is made up of several services - Independent Living Services, Healthy Living, Lewisham Connections and the Stones End Day Centre, in addition to the Core team (which is comprised of Finance, HR, Fundraising etc).
This page should help you get a feel of those services, and the teams that comprise them, as well as introduce you to some of our staff members.
Jacky Bourke-White is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Age UK Lewisham and Southwark.
Jacky has over 20 years experience in the voluntary and public sector. She has worked for AUKLS for the last 11 years, as Director of Operations for 6 years and CEO for the last 5 years. She was a Clore Social Fellow in 2015 and has a PG Diploma in Health and Social Care Management.
Independent Living Services
This service is made up of Southwark-based teams like Help at Home, Happy Feet, Southwark Information and Advice, Southwark S.A.I.L.™, S.A.I.L. Care Navigation, our Handypeople, Food2You and Weathering Well.
Working out of both our Stones End and Yalding sites, as well as visiting older people throughout the borough, their aim is to help older people stay happy, healthy and independent in their homes for as long as possible.
This service is managed by Ema Bertacca (rightmost, top row).
Lewisham S.A.I.L. and Community Connections Services
This service is comprised of Lewisham S.A.I.L. Connections™ (top right photo), Information and Advice Lewisham (bottom left), and Community Connections, made up of our Community Development Workers (bottom right) and Community Support Facilitators (top left), all based in Catford.
This service is managed by Jordan O'Shea (top row, second from right).
Our Stones End Day Centre team ensure the smooth running of our SE1 day centre, and work hard to always meet the needs of its members. The team includes the kitchen staff who prepare the lunchtime meals for our members, as well as our care workers, and drivers.
The service is managed by Brenda Wade (second right).
This service is based out of our Yalding Healthy Living Centre, and managed by Katrina Jinadu (centre).
As well as running the open-access Yalding Centre, providing an opportunity to meet, eat, and participate in new activities, the service also encompasses the Healthy Living Project at Lime Tree House, in Nunhead, which takes activities into a sheltered housing scheme, and Communities Living Well, providing free activities to the over-50s in Southwark.
The Core Team
This includes the Senior Management team, plus fundraising, operations, finance and human resources (not pictured). They work across all three sites, but are primarily based at our central office at the Stones End Day Centre.
