As the Volunteer Coordinator you will develop, promote and evaluate the volunteering services and volunteering opportunities on behalf of Age UK Lincoln & Kesteven. This role involves assessing and meeting the organisation’s needs through recruitment, placement and retention of Volunteers.


The successful applicant requires knowledge and experience of working with volunteers and should have a good understanding of the voluntary sector, in order to manage the delivery, promotion and development of volunteer services across the organisation, whilst maintaining accredited awards achieved.

A kind, enthusiastic and empathetic nature along with an appreciation of the needs of older adults is required. The ability to communicate effectively is essential to the role. Excellent IT skills with a good working knowledge of Word, Excel and databases is expected.

Applicants are required to have a proactive approach, ability to think creatively, work independently and also effectively as part of a team. Self-motivation and strong commitment to service excellence is required with the ability to inspire individuals to develop within their volunteer role.

CAR REQUIREMENTS:

A full UK driving licence and access to a car is required.

Age UK Lincoln and Kesteven has an exciting opportunity for an individual with strong managerial, business development and marketing skills.

Become the Registered Care Services Manager and hold or be willing to work towards a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care

You will be responsible for the efficient running, growth and development of Age UK Lincoln & Kesteven’s Care Services and ensure continuity and high standards of care provided to people who use the services, whilst meeting the Essential Standards set by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

With proven experience of service delivery you will grow and develop Care Services whilst leading, building and developing teams of carers and a team of office staff.

The ability to work on your own initiative and cope under pressure whilst managing conflicting demands is essential. Management experience within the voluntary or public sector is expected, as well as experience of joint working with statutory and voluntary organisations.

The successful applicant will possess a positive, proactive approach with a willingness to be hands on when necessary. A committed and flexible approach to work is required.

Full driving licence with access to own vehicle, with appropriate insurance for business purposes is a requirement.

Here at Age UK Lincoln & Kesteven, we are looking to recruit Home and Lifestyle Support Workers in the following areas:
LINCOLN, SLEAFORD, GRANTHAM
We have been offering this service for over 50 years in and around Lincoln and have almost 200 staff helping support people to remain safe and independent in their own homes. There are various tasks that our home support workers undertake such as domestic cleaning, shopping and pension collecting on a weekly or more frequent basis. The hours are flexible although we do like to offer consistency to our regular service users. Most work is undertaken between 8.30 and 4.30pm, but working out of these hours may be required.
This post is a zero-hours contract, although it is very easy to build up a regular base of service users.
Training is given in the necessary areas.
Car drivers preferred but not essential.
