Building Connections is a project we offer across the Boston & South Holland area funded by the National Lottery Community Fund with the aim of helping reduce loneliness and isolation.
Our support service can provide help with accessing virtual groups, appointments, and general information and advice.
You are invited to join in with as many of our virtual activities as you would like: we have activities for quizzers, musical bingo for those who love to be serenaded and craft groups with plenty of tasks for you to get stuck into. Or if you would just like a coffee or tea and a nice catch up – we’re here for you.
If you don’t have access to a laptop or tablet, we can also help you with this. We are able to loan equipment to you when a member of our team comes to visit.
We can also help with:
- Attending virtual medical appointments
- Video calling family and friends
- Shopping online for groceries
- Using online banking and accessing utility companies
Don’t just take our word for it - Rowenna told how us how much she appreciated Building Connections and we just had to share it with you:
“I feel better actually seeing someone, even though it is virtually.”
Pam also told us: “I felt confident contacting Age UK Lincoln & South Lincolnshire as they are trustworthy and helpful.”
We are hopeful that we may be able to host in person groups and meet ups shortly. We will contact everyone as soon as we have information to share.

Do you have a passion for gardening?
After the success of our Lincoln Allotment, we would love to be able to open a Boston Allotment, and we are currently gauging interest in this project. If this is something you would be interested in being involved with, please contact us to register your interest.
