Wendy

Care and support Services Manager

I have worked for Age UK Lincoln & South Lincolnshire for 5 years now and love being in a position where we can support our older generation to stay safe and independent.

Our carers work together as a team to ensure that our customers get the support they want and need, and are given the time by us to provide that support.

  • Tara - Care and Support Services Coordinator

I started working for Age UK Lincoln & South Lincolnshire in October 2017 as a Home & Lifestyle Support Worker. Supporting older people in their own homes was so rewarding. It makes you feel like you have made a difference to someone’s day, no matter how small.

I began working as a Care & Support Services Coordinator in June 2018 as I wanted to be involved from the outset of their enquiry.

One of the many things that I love about my job is that we offer set times for our clients so they can develop a routine, and that we offer a minimum visit time of 30 minutes. This gives the carers the opportunity to really check on a client’s wellbeing and give the much needed company, especially during these difficult times.

We take the time to get to know a person’s situation before carrying out home assessments, everything we do is very much person-centred. I work with an amazing team of carers and love working for Age UK Lincoln & South Lincolnshire

  • Mandy - Care and Support Services Coordinator

I have had the pleasure in working for Age UK Lincoln & South Lincolnshire for nearly 3 years now, although I have been in the care sector 14 years.

Connecting with the older generation and supporting with the continuation of care is really such a rewarding role. It gives me a great feeling to know I can support and help those in our care, in giving them a better standard of living that they may not be able to manage independently anymore and help them remain in their own homes too.

I can honestly say you do not require a bundle of qualifications to be a fabulous carer but you do need a good heart and core values around caring and supporting others.

We have a wonderful team and we will support you with training requirements. If you are kind, caring and simply enjoy helping and supporting people this could be for you - Care to join us?
