  • Gardeners

    Do you enjoy trimming hedges, cutting lawns and looking after shrubs?  Would you like to work outdoors and prefer flexible working hours?  We need five enthusiastic, active people to help older people in Milton Keynes look after their gardens.  You can take the worry out of keeping the garden tidy and also help keep older safer because paths are clear and branches are cut back.  Having regular support also enables older people to enjoy their own garden.  You may be asked to plant up pots and sow seeds if that is what they want.

  • Footcare Agent

    We are looking for qualified self-employed Footcare Health Practitioners to provide a toenail cutting service for older people and those with a physical or learning disability, living in Milton Keynes.

    The service is delivered by a network of self-employed Freelance Footcare Agents.  Each agent will manage their own time and make their own appointments directly with the clients. Own transport and telephone are essential along with membership of an Accredited Register of FHPs. Suitable references and an enhanced DBS will be required.

    You will have good interpersonal skills and be at ease working with people’s feet. You must be able to organise your own workload and be honest, trustworthy and flexible. We are looking for caring people who have an understanding of the issues that affect older clients and have empathy with people who are disabled, frail or from an ethnic minority background.

  • Community & Hospital Aftercare Assistant

    If you are looking for flexible part-time work in Milton Keynes and are a kind and caring person who works well under pressure, we are looking for you to help us support patients to stay in their homes following discharge from hospital. You will take patients home from Milton Keynes University Hospital in your car and provide practical support such as light housework and shopping along with emotional support to help them regain their confidence and independence.

  • Independent Living Assistant - Stony Stratford

    We are looking for people with a caring nature and who enjoy doing light housework, shopping tasks and general duties that help and support older people. This role would also suit people who can spend time with an older person, keeping them safe whilst their carer or a relative has a break (no personal care is involved).  Mileage is included in the rate of pay and use of your own car is essential.  An enhanced DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service) certificate will be required.  If you do not have one that is within 12 months of issue we can apply for one for you and the fee of £40 will be deducted from your first pay.  The fee will be refunded after completion of a satisfactory probationary period.

    We need a reliable person to join our friendly team in Kiln Farm.  This role will be a mixture of van driving and warehouse duties as required. You will help to replenish stock on the shopfloor, serve customers and answer queries.  You will also drive the furniture van, delivering furniture and household goods to customers and collecting donated goods from donors in Milton Keynes.

  • Hospital Aftercare & Community Support Administrator

    We are looking to recruit a caring and friendly individual with good administration and communication skills to support a vital service that enables people to return home from hospital and stay at home with practical support. This highly rewarding post will be based in Milton Keynes University hospital and will offer flexibility and variety. The role is based on 15 contracted hours but you will also be expected to work additional unguaranteed hours dependant on service demand both in an office environment and in the community.

  • Information Support Officer

    We need an efficient, reliable person to provide general administrative support to the organisation as a whole.  This post is based at The Peartree Centre and will answer telephone enquiries and meet personal callers to the Peartree Centre, providing information on a wide range of issues affecting older people.  You will also update databases and CharityLog with referrals and new contacts, as well as have responsibility for the booking of meeting rooms at the Peartree Centre and also keeping Diaries and Electronic Calendars up to date.

    £9.30 per hour
