About the role
We need an enthusiastic person to manage our charity shops and furnitures stores in the absence of the usual manager. You will provide a high-quality retail service that raises funds for the charity and promotes a good image of the organisation, by ensuring the efficient and effective management of our staff and volunteers, and of the premises and stock.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day health and safety and welfare of staff, including yourself, volunteers, visitors and customers. You will ensure health and safety procedures are in place and are adhered to.
We are looking for someone with previous experience gained in a performance-driven retail environment and of managing a diverse workforce. You must have the ability to motivate your team and have good administrative and organisational skills. An awareness of, and an interest in, High Street retail trends is vital, as is the ability to recognise the importance of attractive presentation and stock potential to generate income
As you will be working in a busy shop, being able to move furniture and bags and boxes of stock is a requirement of this role. You will need to be flexible and be able to work in our various shops across Milton Keynes so a car is essential.
