Brackley shop wins first prize

We are thrilled to share the news that this summer our staff and volunteers in Brackley won another two awards for their "Animal Kingdom" window display. Shop Manager Diana, Assistant Manager Sue and their team at our fabulous shop were awarded "Winner in large window category" and "Overall winner" in the Brackley Best Dressed Window Display Competition 2018. Age UK Northamptonshire gets a trophy to hold on to for a year and also an engraved plaque to keep. Long time volunteer Rod was happy to pose with the trophy, certificate and rosette.
Our shops raise vital funds that support the services the charity provides throughout the county. It is thanks to volunteers, donors and customers in Brackley that we are able to run a day centre in Daventry, for example. Every penny spent in our shops helps improve later life for local people.
It takes a lot of hard work and inspiration to create an award-winning window display, especially when the competition from other shops in the town is pretty keen. Diana says "We are so happy" and so are her colleagues at Age UK Northamptonshire.
