Our Venton Centre has been a place of fun and support for 20 years

Manager Vicky Denney and her team were thrilled when the Mayor of Northampton Cllr Tony Ansell and his Mayoress Jayne Crofts, our President Anne Goodman and Chairman Julia Faulkner joined in the "birthday" celebrations on Thursday 8th November.  It was almost exactly 20 years to the day that the Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother officially opened what was, in 1998, Age Concern Northampton's William and Patricia Venton Centre.

Volunteers from Tollers Solicitors joined us to help serve an extra special lunch.

It is thanks to the support of local people and the hard work of our staff and volunteers that the purpose-built centre continues to be so well used.  Every week hundreds of people enjoy meeting up with friends and being served a freshly-cooked hot lunch.  They also take part in fun activities such as singing or seated-exercise if they wish.  Our centre gives older people a regular outing to look forward to and also gives carers a break.

Why not come for a taster day -  call  our Access team on 08456 772 220 (Monday to Friday 8.30am to 12.30pm) to find out more.
