About the role
We need to recruit an experienced advice worker to provide a high quality information and advice service to clients, their carers and/or other service providers. You will take live calls on the Information and Advice Line and carry out standard benefit assessments, inform clients of their entitlements and provide support with making appropriate claims. The post is largely office based, with some work in the community.
You will have current knowledge and experience of welfare benefits for older people and the ability to follow I&A procedures and adhere to the Age UK National I&A Quality Mark and AQS standards. You will need to be able to prioritise your own work and meet deadlines. Excellent written and spoken communication skills are a must, as are strong IT skills (including MS Office and database). We are looking for someone with a good understanding of the issues that affect older people and their carers.
If you would like to join our friendly team and help make Northamptonshire a fantastic place for older people, we'd love to hear from you. For more information or an informal chat about this post please call Pamela Kom on 01604 611200.
