Personal alarm/lifeline
Careline 365 is our preferred partner for Personal Alarms, sometimes know as "lifelines".
It is a digital system that plugs into an electric socket only. There is no need for the internet or wi fi or a telephone landline. The client will wear either a wristband on their arm or a pendant around their neck. Careline 365 offer a 24 hour service from their fully-manned call centre. Should you feel unwell, or suffer a fall, help is at hand. The call centre will either contact a nominated key holder who lives within 45 minutes of your home (usually a family member) or they can call emergency services.

Mobility scooters and power chairs
BLR Distribution Ltd is Age UK Northamptonshire's preferred partner for sales, service and repairs to mobility scooters and power chairs.
Based in Moulton Park, BLR work closely with our charity, providing an excellent service for our clients. They have over 20 years' experience and supply new products from the mobility range including rise and recline chairs.
BLR have qualified engineers on hand to help with maintenance, repairs and warranty to all their products and, whenever they can, for other makes and models too.

Oakley Healthcare is another Age UK Northamptonshire preferred partner for adaptations and equipment that will enable you to live independently in your own home.
Their extensive showroom is not far from Northampton town centre and showcases a range of stairlifts and bathroom adaptations, along with other mobility equipment. Oakley Healthcare's team offers an excellent service for our clients and can help with all things required for mobility issues.
Inside the showroom is a huge display of wide-fitting comfort shoes from the Sandpiper range and, with plenty of stock available, the right fitting comfort shoe can be found for you.

Maureen Evans [pictured] is our paralegal representative who can prepare and register a Lasting Power of Attorney for property and financial affairs for you or a relative. Maureen can also arrange this for health and welfare, along with helping you draw up a Will. This can either be a single or a mirror Will for clients who have a partner.

Key safes
Key safes are a trusted and secure way to enable carers or the emergency services to access your home if you are unable to let them in because of illness or some other reason.
Our Handyperson Service can supply and fit the Supra C500 model, one of two police-approved key safes, for £97.
We can fit the key safe securely to the outside of your property, preventing the need to leave keys in unsafe places such as under plant pots or stones. You can share the four digit code of your key safe with carers and the emergency services. This will allow swift access inside should the need arise.
