Northamptonshire County Council has confirmed that the £1.6m Social Wellbeing Contract, which helps to fund 11 local organisations to provide support to some of the most vulnerable people in the county, will end on 31st March 2020.
The impact of the cut will be highly detrimental to many people in Northamptonshire. It will mean that up to 3,500 clients will no longer receive support and some organisations could face closure.
£282,000 a year is being cut from Age UK Northamptonshire's day centres which may lead to closures, affecting some of the most socially isolated and lonely older people in our community.
You can help by signing and sharing the petition which aims to reverse the decision and secure funding for crucial social care services.
