Location:   Baptist Church Rooms, Rockingham Road, Kettering NN16 9JA with the ability to travel throughout Northamptonshire

Rate of pay:  £20,155 per annum pro rata (£24,858 pa FTE)

Hours of work:  30 hours per week 

About the role

We need a caring, confident person to lead our small team in Kettering, to ensure that older people attending our day centre have a positive experience and that we provide a high standard of care.  You will be responsible for the health and wellbeing of all clients, staff and volunteers whilst they attend the centre, ensuring that it is adequately staffed and able to provide safe daycare. 

You will be expected to have excellent knowledge of our clients' care needs and ensure that client Care Plans are updated when necessary.  You will organise regular stimulating, fun activities for our Day Centre clients and ensure that all records and information required for reporting purposes remains accurate and up-to-date.

About you

We are looking for an adaptable and flexible person who is able to communicate with people at all levels.  You will have good interpersonal skills and enjoy working as part of a team, but also be able to use your own initiative when necessary.

Experience of care work and of working with older people is essential and you will need to be IT literate and able to drive in all parts of Northamptonshire.  If you have an understanding of equal opportunities, and have empathy with older people, we'd love to hear from you.  This post can be hugely rewarding and you will get to know your clients, knowing that you are make a positive difference to their lives.  Our Day Care staff are encouraged to undertake training to enhance their knowledge and skills.
