Do you enjoy Walking?

Many people have recently found a new love of walking and how great it is for your health and physical and mental wellbeing.

Ramblers Wellbeing Walks North Craven (co-ordinated by North Yorkshire Sport) are part of the Ramblers national network. They support free group walks throughout Craven led by trained volunteer walk leaders and these include:

The North Craven Strollers is a volunteer-led scheme in Settle, Gargrave and Hellifield.

They offer easy, gentle walks of between 30-90 minutes in Settle every Wednesday staring at 1.30pm in the Millennium Gardens, off Kirkgate near Booths supermarket. For more information on this group follow this link: Ramblers Wellbeing Walks North Craven

    Explore new places with a friendly bunch of people? Age UK North Craven runs day trips throughout the year.

  • COFFEE & CHAT

    • Where: The Place, Settle (Opposite the Ruchee)
    • When: Every Wednesday 10.30am – 12.00 midday

     A chance to meet up with friends old and new and participate in a range of activities including quizzes, board games, and dominoes to name but a few, where the emphasis is on fun and socialising.

    £2.00 per session to include refreshments.

  • OUR ALLOTMENT

    We have an Allotment in Dog Meadow, Settle.   
    Please call in on a Wednesday or Friday from 12.30pm to 3pm and pay us a visit.  

    Do a little planting or just for a Chat.

  • Movement to Music with Gillian Walton

    • Where: The Place, Settle (Opposite the Ruchee)
    • When: 2nd & 4th Wednesday of the month at 2pm – 3.00pm
    • A relaxing chair- based exercise group focused on stretching and movement– Important at any age
    • Half an hour chair- based exercises followed by refreshments and time to socialise with others. £3.00 per session.

There is also a network of other clubs in Horton in Ribblesdale, Ingleton, Langcliffe, Long Preston, Rathmell and Malham providing company, friendship and fun activities for older people who live in those areas and surrounding villages.
