Charles Hayward Foundation

Interested in funding community projects which encourage independence and quality of life for older people.  Max grant £7,000.  Specifically interested in programmes which; alleviate depressionand isolation; encourage volunteers to offer practical needs and support to older people; address practical needs of older carers; specific needs of older people with dementia.

Clothworkers Foundation: Small grants programme

Max grant £10,000, average grant £7,000. Need to be a registered charity. Applications accepted all year – no deadlines, decisions within 8 weeks. Range of programme areas but specific interest in 'Elderly people'.

New fund created in 2014 in association with the Clothworkers Company, offering grants between £1,000-£2,000 for older people’s projects & other priority areas. Preference is for capital items rather than running costs but not exclusively.

They have redesigned the application process for Learn & Grow programme, to simplify it & encourage applications. Only basic info is required at the initial application stages with a brief description of budget items up to £10,000, short explanation of benefits & all this on one-side of A4.
