Age NI is currently Danske Bank’s Charity Partner. Support from Danske Bank will help to transform the lives of isolated older people in local communities across Northern Ireland through staff fundraising, volunteering, and mentoring support.
Siobhan Casey, Director of Marketing at Age NI said, 'Age NI is thrilled to have been selected as Danske Bank’s Charity Partner. Money raised during our partnership will help Age NI deliver and improve upon its vital services including the Age NI Advice Service, care services in the community and support for local older people’s networks.'
Danske Bank’s Managing Director Personal Banking, Tony Wilcox, added, 'Today there are more people in Northern Ireland over the age of 50 than under the age of 19. Together with Age NI we have the opportunity to come together, raise awareness and much needed funds to make a very real difference to the lives of many older people throughout our local communities.
'Our Charity Partner programme is a key part of our commitment to the wider community and together with our employees and customers we have raised over £1.2 million over the past nine years alone. This year there will be an even greater focus on our staff also giving up their own time, reaching out to individual older people in their local community and also providing their professional expertise to local older people’s groups. We are all looking forward to getting involved in the partnership and working hard to add as much value to it as we can.'
