Santander staff voted for Age UK and Barnardo’s to become Santander's charity partners for the next three years. As a partner charity of Age UK, Age NI will benefit from the partnership in Northern Ireland.
The charities have been chosen as part of Santander’s new flagship community programme, ‘The discovery project', to help support the most vulnerable people in society.
Funds raised will help Age NI support older people across Northern Ireland.
Nathan Bostock, CEO, Santander UK, said: 'Our purpose is to help people and businesses prosper, and we recognise that in a rapidly changing world for many the pace of change can be difficult to navigate.'
'The Discovery Project has been created to help people make the most of the incredible opportunities society has to offer. We are very excited about the potential for our partnership to help some of the most vulnerable people in our communities succeed for the future.'
