Lap the Lough

Fancy cycling around the largest lake in Britain and Ireland for charity? Then Lap the Lough for Age NI!

Lap The Lough is a not-for-profit cycle challenge around Lough Neagh. The route is 95 miles (155km), with stops every 25 miles.

The challenge takes places on Sunday 27 August (Bank Holiday weekend) and starts at The Hill of the O'Neill in Dungannon. Up to 2,500 cyclists are expected to take part, making it one of the biggest in Northern Ireland!

Lunch, water and snacks are provided and retro Lap the Lough cycling caps are awarded at the finish line.

Age NI's Digital Marketing Officer, Matthew Blain, took part in Lap the Lough for Age NI: 'Lap the Lough is a great event for people of all cycling abilities. Apart from the final few miles into Dungannon, it's not too hilly and the there are refreshment stops every 25 miles or so. Cycling with such a large diverse crowd inspires you to keep going. I heartily recommend everyone gives it a go!'
