The Age NI Day Centre in Dungannon celebrated a significant milestone at its premises on Little Scotch Street.

The centre has been at the heart of the community for 20 years now helping to improve the lives of older people in the area.

Day Centre clients and their families joined the staff and guests including Mrs Frances Burton, deputy Mayor of Dungannon and South Tyrone, and senior members of Armagh and Dungannon HSS Trust to celebrate the occasion.

A special role was reserved for the longest attendee of the Day Care Centre, Mrs Annie Leith who has been attending the centre for the last 17 years, who was given the honour of cutting the cake.

Pat Kearney, Dungannon Day Centre Manager commented: “It’s a wonderful day! We are delighted to celebrate the role that the Day Centre has played in the lives of many older people and their families in Dungannon.

“It’s important to recognise the dedication and commitment of the team in the Day Centre and to acknowledge the wonderful times we have had with many of our clients in the last 20 years.”
