Libraries NI has developed an exciting support/training programme for people who want to find out more about modern technology and computers.

These free courses will demonstrate how using technology can enhance your life.

Got IT? is a computer help programme delivered by Libraries NI staff to support people with little or no knowledge of computers.

Got IT? aims to take you through the basics of computers in small, simple steps. Professional and friendly library staff will be on-hand to help you to get started, explaining the names and breaking the jargon one piece at a time.  Libraries NI library staff members have been trained to deliver these free beginners’ Got IT? sessions in public libraries across Northern Ireland.
Many of the libraries have separate computer areas so the sessions will be held in a relaxed environment.

Go ON takes these skills one step further and allows people to enhance their computer abilities.

Once you’re able to navigate your way with a computer to use email and enjoy the internet, the Go ON courses will take you that one step further, offering you help to do lots of everyday tasks on the computer, such as paying bills, health enquiries and keeping in touch with friends. Go ON will give you the opportunity to enjoy one or more of five courses in local libraries with experienced staff on hand to help and support.

Got IT? and Go ON sessions are free but you must be a library member to participate. Library membership is free for everyone and to join all you need to do is bring a form of identification with proof of address and the library staff will do the rest.
