NICVA has launched its 7th State of the Sector survey. The survey has been circulated to nearly 5,000 voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations and no matter how large or small your organisation NICVA need to hear from you.
The State of the Sector survey explores key areas such as workforce, income, expenditure and volunteering and has become a valuable resource for the voluntary and community sector.
For nearly 20 years NICVA has used the findings from previous State of the Sector surveys to inform government, funders, academics and the media of the scale and impact of the sector. In addition, findings from previous surveys have proved invaluable to individual organisations and sub-sectors for a range of activities including lobbying and fundraising.
The last State of the Sector report found that ‘older people’ was one of the main beneficiary groups in the voluntary and community sector and this sub-sector accounted for 9% of the workforce and 1,510 volunteers. However, just 3% of the donor population supported this sub-sector with an average donation of £9.29 per person.
NICVA encourages all those organisations that have received the survey to take a few moments to complete it. If you have not received an email with an invite to complete the State of the Sector survey please contact Rachel Shannon (firstname.lastname@example.org) as soon as possible.
The survey closes on 20 November 2015.
