The Health and Social Care service is seeking service user and carer representatives who have had an experience of unscheduled care services within the last 5 years.
Unscheduled care refers to services which cannot always be planned in Health and Social Care such as: Out of Hours services, Emergency Departments, and discharge processes from hospital into different care settings, including returning home.
People are required to get involved at a strategic level on a Service User and Carer Reference Group. The aim is to make a real difference to unscheduled care services.
This is a regional project which covers services in hospitals as well as in the local community.
The Service User and Carer Reference Group will represent the views of service users and carers at the regional strategic level for the unscheduled care programme. Service users and carers will be required to be committed to a shared vision rather than representing a single issue or specific condition perspective and we are seeking service user and carer representatives from a wide range of backgrounds to get involved. Training will be provided to support participants in this role.
