Move to the Music

Move to the Music provides free access to selected Ulster Orchestra concerts throughout the season.

The award-winning Move to the Music scheme is for people aged seventy and over who live alone in rural areas and may have trouble getting out and about. It includes transport, concert programmes and a free hot drink as well!

Feedback from older patrons is extremely positive – they enjoy seeing each other and making new friends at the orchestra concerts as well as appreciating the music; many cite the Move to the Music evenings as some of the only social events they are able to get out to.

Since they are picked up directly from home and brought back there afterwards they don’t have to worry about their mobility or personal safety, and it costs them nothing to attend thanks to the funding provided by JTI.

If you know someone who meets the criteria and would enjoy being part of the Move to the Music scheme, email louanne@ulsterorchestra.com or call 028 9023 9900 to request an application form.
