Help Northern Ireland go digital

Digital Switchover volunteers

Northern Ireland is moving to digital-only TV in October 2012. To make the transition as easy as possible we need volunteers to help older people switch to digital TV.

Age NI is calling on volunteers aged 50+ to get involved in the Switchover Help Scheme which offers everyone aged 75 and over, practical help to switch their TV to digital before switchover in October.

What can you do to help?

Volunteers will be asked to:

  • provide advice and support visits to older and vulnerable people in your area
  • chaperone a visit with an engineer
  • provide a follow up visit

What support will you get?

You do not need to have any specialist knowledge. We will invite all volunteers to a training and information session about the scheme.

What do I do next?

For more information on how to get involved, call us on 028 9024 5729, email, or use our contact page
