We are recruiting for a Home Care Support Worker for female service users - due to the provision of intimate care, this vacancy is restricted to women only. Driving required.

Experience not necessary as comprehensive training will be provided

Location: Newbiggin, Ellington & Lynemouth

Hours per week: Full Time and Part Time, Flexible

Salary: 

  • £9.70 for all scheduled care
  • £2.95 contribution to travel time
  • £0.25p mileage for drivers.

About the role

Due to service expansion, we currently have full and part-time opportunities for caring and professional people to work in our services in Newbiggin, Ellington and Lynemouth.

You will be part of a team providing professional day-to-day and night-time care and support for older people with a variety of needs. Our Team Members are chosen for their caring and respectful approach to older people.

Previous experience of caring for older people is an advantage but full training is provided to every member of our team – what is important is that you have a caring disposition and a real desire to make a difference to peoples’ lives.  We also offer guaranteed hours to our staff on successful completion of their probationary period.

The nature of this work means that applicants must be willing to routinely work outside normal office hours, including some early morning, evenings and weekends. We offer excellent training and continued development including the opportunity to study towards higher level full NVQ qualifications in Health and Social Care.
