Give it up, give it a go, give!

Are you thinking about making a change this year? Would you like to give something up, or do you fancy giving something new a try for 2021?

Throughout January and February we’re asking you to give yourself some extra motivation and fundraise for Age UK Norwich by joining our Give it up, Give it a go, Give campaign.

We’ve all experienced a tough year, but older people have been one of the hardest hit groups by the pandemic. With one in four now unable to walk as far as before, and one in three saying their anxiety is now worse, we are in need of your support today, more than ever.

Here’s how you can help:

Give it up… Looking to cut back on the coffee? Or the chocolate, the wine, the beer? Thinking about watching less television or spending less time on social media? Or should you be cutting down on those take-aways?

Give it a go… Want to do something different this year? It could be you want to run your first ever 5k, 10k or even a marathon. Or perhaps you want to get that bicycle out of the shed and start hitting those country roads again? Or you just want to read more, or start to find your creative side.

Give... Whatever you want to give up, have a go at or challenge yourself with this year, there are so many ways you can also raise those much needed to help us help the older people of Norwich.

Check out our fundraising pack full of useful advice, hints and tips to make your fundraiser a success!

This small change in your life can make a big change to the life of an older person.

How we can use your money:

£5 could help us provide regular befriending calls to some of the most vulnerable people in our city, and help offer digital support.

£15 could help us support an older person stay physically and mentally active through our online groups and courses, and one-to-one help at home.

£20 could help us care for those who are living with dementia by providing regular contact and offering a place of friendship at our day care centre.

We're here to help... Contact our Fundraising Coordinator for more information on how you can started and help make a change for an older person this year.
