Help us give an older person a sense of new found freedom!

We are looking for friendly, compassionate volunteers with good interpersonal and communication skills to help support our team of carers in providing a comfortable, welcoming and friendly environment for all our visitors at the Marion Day Care Centre - a purpose built space for those living with a wide range of health conditions, including dementia.

Marion is place to meet up with old friends, see new people and take part in activities such as singing, dancing, games, exercise and we even have visits from four-legged friends, babies and toddlers. As a Centre Support Volunteer, you will welcome visitors to the Centre, you will help to encourage them with our activities and support our care workers by providing refreshments and a friendly face.

Many of those who visit our Day Care Centre find a new found sense of freedom – some find their memory becomes a little better, their daily tasks aren’t quite as strenuous, or that they are more able to take on life’s little challenges. If you would like to help bring a little balance back to an older person’s life and give their carer some well-deserved rest, more information and details on how to apply can be found below.

Days/Hours: The number of hours you can give can be flexible but will be between 10am-2pm on either a Monday, Wednesday or Friday.
