Marion Day Centre: Service Status : 20th March 2020
This week, we have continued providing day care to our clients, carers and their families. It has been a challenging time, but this enabled Norfolk County Council and the families we work with to look at other arrangements for care, as more self-isolation is recommended by the government.
We have been in regular communication with Norfolk County Council, and following their recent guidance, we will be closing Marion Day Centre from Monday 23rd March 2020.
This is the responsible thing for us to do, as a charity supporting the elderly, for the protection of our clients and their family, many of whom are the most vulnerable in society.
Our care team at Marion will continue to be available at the end of the phone, or online, to provide advice and guidance for those caring at home. We will regularly be in-touch to offer help and support, as much as we can, and our other services at Age UK Norwich will be open to you.
Needless to say, we hope the suspension in service will be for as short a period as possible, and that we can soon get back to helping those we care for – which we love to do.
If you have any questions, the dedicated www.111.nhs.uk/covid-19 website is a useful tool where people can check symptoms and get advice, or you can call NHS111. If you have mild symptoms, you do not need to call NHS 111 to tell them you are staying at home.
You can speak to us on 01603 667944 or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org
We will let you know when the centre will re-open. Thank you for your co-operation at this time.
