Later Life Links
Age UK's Later Life Links programme supports local Age UKs develop their 'First Point of Contact' services. This includes providing good quality information, signposts and referrals to other Age UK services and external services, through initial ‘triage conversations’.
What is Later Life Links?
The programme provides funding to six local partners across the country and aims to develop effective and efficient service models that provide good quality information, signposts and referrals at the first point of contact within a local Age UK. Learning from across these six sites will be used to further develop triage and first contact services across the local partner network.
The programme will also involve the delivery of a number of marketplace events, organised by the local Age UKs involved in delivering the programme, showcasing opportunities, activities, support and advice that is available to older people in their local community.
Later Life Links is delivered across six Age UK local sites across England and is running from February 2017 to January 2019.
What's the impact so far?
In 2017/18 the programme supported over 10,000 people across England through quality information and advice, signposts and helpful referrals.
Where is the programme running?
The programme is currently being delivered in six locations across England. If you're interested in getting involved, contact your local participating Age UK.
