No one should have no one

Published on 17 December 2019 02:54 PM

In the UK, there are more than 2.5 million older people who have no one to turn to for help and support in a crisis. Age UK Redbridge, Barking & Havering is determined to be there for local older people when they need us the most.

We want to be there for those lonely older people facing the festive season on their own – for some, it may be the very first Christmas following a bereavement.

We want to be there for those older people who are full time carers to their partners but who are in desperate need of support themselves.

We want to be there for those people who may be feeling overwhelmed by needing to make tough decisions that could affect their independence and ability to manage alone.

We know that there are many more people living locally, facing crises every day and suffering as a consequence. At Age UK Redbridge, Barking & Havering, we believe no one should have no one to turn to in a crisis, now or at any time of the year.

We need your help

We want to make sure that we continue to be here for those who need us the most, through services such as Care Navigation, Di's Diamonds activities and our Activity Centre, befriending services, and information and advice that helps older people make the right decisions for them. But we can’t do any of this without your help.

Help us to continue to be here and to keep providing this vital local support for those who need us the most in Redbridge, Barking & Dagenham and Havering.

To donate, please visit our Donation page here  or call 020 8220 6000  to find out how you can make a difference.

With your support, Age UKRedbridge, Barking & Havering will continue to be here and ensure that no one has no one to turn to.
