LBBD Safeguarding

Published on 25 June 2021 07:42 AM

The Barking and Dagenham Safeguarding Adults Board is looking to talk to more people with lived experience, about preventing and supporting people who may have experienced abuse and neglect. We envisage a reference group to be formed, so that we may fully consider the views of local people in all that we do. We especially welcome people from any ethnic group, all genders, sexual orientation, beliefs and or primary care needs. We look forward to hear from adults who may be receiving social care and support, or health services and or, those family and or friends who are connected to those adults in receipt of such services. This may include carers of, or people concerned with the wellbeing of adults who e.g: have a mental health problem, dementia, learning disabilities, autism, older people, critically ill individuals and younger adults from 18 years. We plan to meet for an online chat on 30 June, if you want to join us, or else drop an email to joanne.kitching@lbbd.gov.uk or liana.kotze@lbbd.gov.uk to get more information.
