Barnes Green Centre Support Volunteer

Our centre offers older people the chance to enjoy various activities, make new friends and enjoy each other’s company. We are hoping for someone who doesn’t mind rolling their sleeves up! You will offer practical help during our busy Monday afternoons, helping with preparing and serving tea and coffee, setting up, clearing up and washing up. Ensuring a friendly and welcoming atmosphere and finding time for a chat is an important part of this role. If this is the role for you, please get in touch.

Outings Volunteer for Community Services

Older people in Richmond Borough love our monthly outings! Age UK Richmond runs a year-round calendar of outings to places of interest, including museums, historical house, gardens etc . Our volunteers accompany groups of older people enabling them to enjoy getting out and about, as well as making new friends and experiencing new places. If you are a friendly person, who likes to get out and about and enjoys the company of older people please contact us.

Housekeeping Service Administrative Volunteer

Our housekeepers carry out tasks such as housework, shopping, collecting prescriptions, preparing light snacks etc. As the volunteer administrator you will be booking appointments, assessments, entering data into the housekeeper’s diaries, updating the database, as well as other administrative tasks. Annually, you will be involved in helping us with our quality monitoring. If you enjoy a busy, friendly office environment and have a few hours to spare each week, this is the role for you!

Handyperson Service Administrative Volunteer

As part of this very popular chargeable service, which is available to Richmond Borough residents over the age of 18 (subsidised charges for those over 65), you will be assisting mainly with answering the phone and booking appointments, as well as other administrative tasks as arranged with the service manager. This service makes a major contribution to the quality of life of older people by ensuring their homes are safe. If you are a detail orientated person, who enjoys a chat why not contact us?
