We need your support!

Eighteen community projects from across the borough are out for public feedback and the Council is asking for public support as to which should receive funding. Earlier this year Richmond Council invited local communities to submit their ideas for projects which could receive part of £1m Village Planning Fund. The Council received a total of 35 projects and eighteen will be going through to this next stage,

Vote from from 2 October 2017 to 27 October 2017!  You are invited to go online, review each proposal and tell the Council which projects you support.  If you vote for Age UK Richmond, you will be supporting our IT suite refurbishment project which will be beneficial to older people in many ways:

Project summary: Refurbish the IT suite in the Twickenham Wellbeing Centre

Amount requested: £6,000

The funding would be required for the purchase of 3 laptops and 3 tablets, removal and replacement of furniture, redecoration and replacement of carpet. When the IT suite has been completed it will offer a plethora of IT activities to the whole community that will include: regular drop-in sessions & 1:1 sessions, using Skype, internet browsing to find out what’s going on locally and making the most of the internet.
