The Broughton Older People's Network has developed a community green space, which is accessible to all local residents. This was developed as part of the Green Lifestyles project and introduced the older people to growing their own vegetables and developing new skills. They were supported by the team at Incredible Education.
The green space is available for young and old and is particularly popular with children from local nurseries and is also benefitting their learning as they see vegetables growing and enjoying time outdoors. During the winter months, as the weather limits the amount of outdoor time, the members have learnt to keep in touch using What's App and learned new tech skills too.
