We are continuing to run our services following Age UK Salford Covid-19 risk assessments until further notice.This is to protect our staff, volunteers and vulnerable clients and customers.

We will also continue to adhere to trace and trace methods and PPE will be worn by our staff supporting those in their own homes through our Home Services, Dementia Support Service and Hospital Aftercare Teams and at the Humphrey Booth Day Centre.

We are in touch with many of our clients with daily / weekly contact calls and the Dementia Support Service has a weekly calendar of online social activities for people living with dementia and their carers. See what's on

  • Critchley Community Hub  is open daily (Monday - Saturday) from 9am - 3pm - hot food and drinks are available to eat inside, takeaway or eat in the garden. Pre-loved, quality clothing and bric-a-brac are for sale in the shop. Some of the social and learning groups have now resumed from Critchley including Craft, Gardening, IT and the Local History Group.

  • Humphrey Booth Day Centre has re-opened to a limited number of service users and is following strict Covid-19 safety guidelines. Contact on: 0161 737 5989

  • The Hospital Aftercare Service are supporting patients with welfare calls and have commenced home visits to those who are unable to be supported via the telephone. We are accepting referrals. Contact on 0161 206 4607 (24 hour answerphone) or email: salford.aftercare@srft.nhs.uk

  • The community-based groups run by our Dementia Support Service  have returned to face-to-face groups to a limited number of service users and they are following strict Covid-19 guidelines.Contact by email: dssadmin@ageuksalford.org.uk

  • All face-to-face information and advice provided by Citizens Advice Salford is currently suspended, please contact them on 0808 278 7802 - lines open 9am - 4pm daily (Monday - Friday)

  • The Legal Service we offer and provided by DLS Solicitors is currently suspended until further notice

  • The Nutrition and Hydration programme team is ensuring support for older people at this critical time includes information about staying well-nourished and well hydrated
