I oversee the strategic vision of Age UK Scarborough and District, I am passionate about supporting the over 50s across our region, and working in a collaborative way with other Voluntary, Statutory and profit-making organisations. Our services reflect the diverse range of over 50s we represent and I am always looking for new services to develop and deliver, in order to enable increased independence and to lower isolation and loneliness.
Michelle Parnaby • Shop Manager at Eastfield, Filey, Helmsley & Scarborough
I am the Shop Manager at Age UK Scarborough & District. I cover the Eastfield, Filey and Falsgrave shops, dividing my time between them. I have found the staff and volunteers welcoming and I am enjoying the work, meeting new people and the wide range of work it takes to run both of the shops.

Carla Busuttil • Veteran Support Worker
I am pleased to be the Veterans Support worker here at Age UK Scarborough and District. I served in the Royal Navy myself and am honored to be working with fellow veterans. I provide assistance and support whether that be financial assistance for much needed items, weekly events, group activities and sessions and also to been a friendly veteran to talk to. What ever your reason for needing my support I am here to help.
Jackie Cammish • Admin, Finance and Reception Coordinator
At Age UK Scarborough & District I look after the daily Finance/Accounts and Payroll. I also carry out administration duties and work on the front desk, which is really nice as it means that I meet and greet clients and visitors coming in to the organisation. I am also Clerk to the Trustees and take minutes at the Board and AGM meetings. My role is varied which I really enjoy and I love working for such a great Organisation who really care about helping elderly people within the community. I am also a member of the Dementia Action Alliance Group (DAA) and represent Age UK at the monthly meetings and events.
Alison Easton • Wellbeing Practitioner / Intergenerational work
I have been working for Age UK Scarborough & District for over the past 4 years. I have also the responsibility for Integrational work in the community and run a pen pal scheme with local children. I thoroughly enjoy meeting clients on a regular basis at our Norbrek Coffee morning each Thursday. I run a drop in for employability every Wednesday 10 til 2 and an information and advice drop in every other Thursday 10 til 1.

It is my role to support clients aged 50 and over with any Health and Wellbeing concerns they may have and to help them break down any barriers they may be facing which are preventing them from finding employment.

I work in Health, Wellbeing and Employment. I have worked with Age UK for one year now and am so pleased to be part of such a caring and person centred organisation. I am passionate about helping others reach their potential, and will address all barriers in order to do this successfully.

I started work for Age UK Scarborough & District as the manager of their new Helmsley centre in May 2018. It has been a privilege to be involved in the opening of such a worthwhile venture. I look forward to our project growing where we will be able to offer a much needed service in this beautiful rural area. We have had a great first year, my volunteers are a joy to work with and we have had lots of positive feedback from both local people and visitors to the area.
