Most of us have items at home that we don't use or need that could be loved again by someone else. Donate them to us and we’ll turn them into money to help make later life better for people in Scotland.
What can I donate?
We are delighted to accept most donations to our stores including clothes, books, jewellery, toys, CDs and DVDs, ornaments and bric-a-brac. Most shops can only sell small pieces of homeware.
How can I donate items?
You can drop off your preloved items at your local shop during working hours (please don’t leave them outside if the shop is shut). We also send out branded Age Scotland collection bags from time to time which would arrive through your letterbox. Just fill it with anything you would like to donate and leave it outside your home in a visible position on the day indicated on the bag. Our collectors will come by and pick up the bags between 8am and 5pm and then take them to our shops to sell.
Corporate stock donations
If you work for a local company and would like to arrange a large stock collection among your staff, we would be delighted to hear from you. Just contact our head office on 0333 32 32 400 to organise further.
Don’t just donate it - Gift Aid it!
If, when you bring us your unwanted items, you sign up for Gift Aid, we can claim extra money at no cost whatsoever to you. If you are a UK taxpayer making a donation to one of our stores you can use Gift Aid to increase its value by 25%. It has no cost implications and will not affect your tax code. We reclaim the tax from HM Revenue and Customs.
