Forth Rail Bridge Abseil

Imagine feeling alone and isolated, with no one to talk to day after day. This is the harsh reality for many older people in Scotland today.


Help us change that by taking on the Forth Rail Bridge Abseil for Age Scotland.

You will have a unique opportunity to experience the thrill of a 165ft SAS style abseil (freefall) from the iconic Forth Rail Bridge onto the beach below.

A team of highly skilled instructors will ensure that you are equipped with all you need to make your abseil safe and enjoyable

Where?
Registration at The Hawes Inn, South Queensferry, Edinburgh.

When is the abseil?
Sunday 6 October 2019.

Who can take part?
Participants must be aged 16 years or over. Parental consent is required for persons aged 16 or 17 years wishing to abseil.

No previous experience is necessary to take part in the abseil and it is suitable for everyone over the age of sixteen.

Minimum sponsorship
To secure your space a non-refundable deposit of £21 is required with an agreement to raise an additional minimum £185 of sponsorship which is very achievable and Age Scotland’s fundraising team are on hand to support you with your sponsorship and fundraising efforts every step of the way!
