Help us to tackle loneliness and social isolation.

Our statistics have revealed that 218,000 over 50s in Scotland say they feel lonely all or most of the time. Here at Age Scotland, we aim to tackle loneliness and social isolation on a practical level through our Community Connecting Service – and we need your help!

Community Connectors support older adults across Scotland link in with community organisations that offer friendship, social activities, health and fitness groups, events.

Your role will involve contacting the person over the phone to find out their interests, researching the relevant opportunities and keeping in touch with them for a few weeks with regular calls of friendship and encouragement.

Whether you want to develop your skills, try something new or just make a difference – this role is for you!
