Facilitator for Pre-Retirement Workshops
Making the decision to retire is one of the most significant life decisions an individual will make. At Age Scotland, we know that the more thoughtful and planned individuals are about preparing themselves mentally, emotionally and financially, the healthier and happier the experience will be for them.
To help people prepare for taking the step into retirement and later life Age Scotland has developed a workshop aimed at the 50+ age group. We want to inspire and engage with people through an informative and interactive workshop providing guidance and support on transitioning into later life.
We are looking for a volunteer to join us as a Facilitator for our Pre-retirement workshops.
The volunteer will host and facilitate pre-retirement workshops with groups of up to 16 participants thinking about or approaching retirement.
The workshops combine sessions delivered by local professionally qualified guest speakers organised by Age Scotland to ensure information is in line with the latest legislation (e.g Legal and financial matters) with many other important topics such as health & well-being, further education & volunteering and coping with change. You will be fully trained by Age Scotland in the content and skills needed to run a workshop successfully. Each workshop will be run by two volunteers with each also facilitating some of the sessions during the event.
