Retail Volunteer

Help raise vital funds to support our much-needed services for older people

Volunteering in a charity shop is nothing if not varied! From setting up window displays to pricing stock donations, volunteers can get involved in all aspects of retail and gain, or refresh, the skills required for these. And as a volunteer behind the counter you are not simply a till operator – you are the friendly face of Age Scotland locally with an opportunity to meet customers from a wide range of backgrounds, including the older people whom the Charity exists to serve.

The Age Scotland charity shop is located in Broxburn in West Lothian. The shop is open Monday to Saturday 9am - 5pm so you will be able to choose a time commitment that suits you. You will also receive training and out of pocket expenses. To find out more, download the Volunteer Shop Assistant role description below.

To apply, complete and return the application form below or, if you would like an informal chat first, call us on 0333 32 32 400 or pop into the shop where the manager will be more than happy to help.
