Sister Charity calls for grant applications

24 November 2011

Sister charity, Age UK, has announced a grant call for PhD Studentships and Research Fellowships for research to improve the health and wellbeing of older people.
Age UK is welcoming proposals for research in areas of health and wellbeing where ageing aspects of the problem are under-researched. Examples include falls prevention, mental health, incontinence, wound healing and age-related sensory loss.
In 2012, Age Scotland's sister charity will focus on ageing research capacity-building awards and now invites applications for PhD Studentships, Research Fellowships and Joint BGS/Age UK-RiAF Clinical Fellowships.
Grants are awarded to UK universities and other recognised higher education institutions, recognised research institutions and NHS trusts.
The deadline for submissions of expressions of interest is 5pm on Wednesday 21 December, 2011.
