University seeks older users of social networks

9 May 2012

Researchers from the University of Ulster are looking for older users of social networks like Facebook to particpate in research.
As social networking use becomes an increasing part of many people's lives, the team from the university want to research the impact that social media has on the well-being and quality of life of its users, and is especially interested in gathering data from older people.
A short online survey intends to gain a greater understanding into the reasons why users currently employ these technologies, their impact and how it compares across other demographics.
Participation in the survey is anonymous and will help to enhance the understanding of how older and younger users are interacting.
